The hotel is located on Calle 9 and Avenida 9, right in the centre of San Jose and near main attractions of the city like the 'Plaza de la Cultura'.An authentic Spanish mansion in Barrio Amon, the hotel is a famously photographed building in San Jose. Though the city has grown around it, it was originally built as a large hacienda for a family who owned a coffee plantation in the 1920s. Still retaining its former charm, it has been remodelled to become a friendly hotel. The property features a 24-hour reception, hotel safe, breakfast room and WLAN Internet access. There are a total of 17 guest rooms on offer.Though none of the guest rooms are the same, they are all equipped with queen- or king-size beds, cable TV with over 60 channels in Spanish and English, a telephone with free calls within Costa Rica and the ability to make international calls with a credit card or charged to guests' bill.
