To get to the charming retreat one should embark on a 45-minute drive from Colombo along the Hanwella-Avissawella Road, passing through a panorama of contrasting landmarks of coconut and rubber plantations, paddy fields and rustic buildings and quarries. Tucked away amongst the natural habitat of Koratota Estate, it is the perfect place for escaping from the noise of the city. Its comfortable chalets are fitted with private balconies, which open to relaxing views towards the plantations. Each unit comes equipped with a cable TV and a private bathroom where guests can refresh. For some me time they can head for a leisurely swim to the outdoor pool or pamper themselves with an Ayurvedic massage or herbal therapy at the spa centre. Afterwards they can head to the restaurant for a delicious meal or to the barbeque facilities if some grilling is what they crave.
